Ingredients
Onion-2
Tomato-1
Ginger(crushed)-1 tblsp.
Pepper powder-2 tsp.
Coriander powder-1tblsp.
Garam masala powder-1 tsp.
Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp.
Curry leaves- 2 stalks
Coriander leaves- handful
Chicken- 500 gram
Salt- according to taste
Method
1. Slice 1 onion lengthwise and heat 2 tblsp. oil in a non-stick pan and saute till it becomes brown colour.
2. Add pepper powder,crushed ginger,coriander leaves, turmeric powder, coriander powder and garam masala powder and saute for few minutes till raw smell fades.Grind to a fine paste and set aside.
3.Heat oil in a kadai, and add 1 finely chopped onion and saute till golden brown. Then add curry leaves and finely chopped tomato and wait for tomato to cook and become soft.
4. Immediately add chicken pieces and toss it around and finally add masala paste prepared earlier. Add salt to taste.
5. Add 1/2 cup of water,so that the gravy doesn't dry up and close kadai with a lid.Wait for 45 minutes or till chicken is cooked completely. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
