MOCHA PUDDING (CHOCOLATE & COFFEE)



 INGREDIENTS

Milk-2 1/2 cups
Sugar-1/2 cup
Cocoa powder/Drinking Chocolate Powder- 3 - 5 tblsp
Instant coffee powder-1 tsp.
Crushed Biscuits-6(optional)
Water-1/2 cup
China grass-10 gms/2 tblsp.

METHOD

1.Soak china grass in water for half an hour and then boil it in a saucepan till china grass melts and disappears.

2.Meanwhile in another saucepan heat milk and sugar on low heat and stir continouslytill sugar dissolves.

3.Then pour china grass mixture into milk mixture and bring to boil while stirring all the time. Then lower heat and let it simmer for about 2 minutes.

4.Pour 1/2 pudding mixture in a bowl.Then add cocoa powder by stirring it in a little milk first and slowly add to the pudding and mix well.Keep aside to cool slightly.

5.Add coffee powder to the remaining pudding mixture and stir to dissolve coffee powder and pour into serving dish immidetely. Then pour the slightly cooled chocolate mixture in the middle of the coffee pudding mixture.

6.Let it cool and add crushed biscuits. Put it in the fridge for a miminum of 2 hours to set.


ADDITIONAL NOTES

1.You can add 1/2 cup milkmaid and reduce the amount of sugar to 3tblsp.

2.You can pour it in individual bowls and let chocolate mixture cool a bit before pouring in the coffee mixture. After it sets and you demould it onto a plate, you will be able to see chocolate at the top.

3.Instead of crushed biscuits on top, you can also add grated chocolate, chopped cashewnuts or any other nuts of your choice.
